Types of Orthodontic Appliances
Some smiles need a little extra help! In cases where the jaws are too narrow to accommodate all teeth, or there is a severe malocclusion (bite misalignment), Doc Russell may include an orthodontic appliance in your personalized treatment plan.
You may wear an orthodontic appliance before or during treatment to create incredible results in the shortest amount of time.
Surgical Orthodontics
Once the jaw bones have stabilized and Invisalign or braces would not be a sufficient treatment method on their own, jaw surgery may be necessary. Orthognathic surgery, or corrective jaw surgery, is performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and typically completed in a hospital.
If you or your child requires jaw surgery, we’ll guide you through the entire process, from your consultation to the surgery, and through post-surgery treatment.
